Being proactive goes a long way when it comes to strengthening a founder investor partnership. Second, saying you're 100% available all the time is setting yourself up for failure.If you're on a train from Kyoto to Tokyo, do you really think your portfolio companies won't hear the jet lag in your voice? Instead, set a predetermined time aside every day or week where you know you can be 100% present rather than squeezing a call in between meetings. It won't make you any less available, and the increase in convo quality will be noticed.
